Job summary

Canterbury District Health Board is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join the Senior Nursing Team as a Duty Nurse Manager. You will work autonomously to coordinate patient flow for Ashburton Hospital and wider services, including afterhours, weekends and public holidays.

The role demands strong clinical expertise, leadership and people management, with collaboration across nursing and external DHBs.

Qualifications

• Broad acute clinical experience and strong collaboration across disciplines.
• Extensive nursing experience in a senior role.
• NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Postgraduate leadership/management experience is advantageous.
• Ability to lead and manage patient flow across Ashburton Hospital and wider services.

Responsibilities
