Job description

Seeking a full-time permanent specialist to lead advanced Fortinet and network security implementations for customers. You’ll provide technical design and hands‑on delivery across security, networking, and cloud‑integrated infrastructure. Working in complex environments, you’ll guide clients on best practices, service availability, and protection technologies—while helping drive new opportunities by showcasing what best‑in‑class solutions can achieve.

You will implement and support Fortinet solutions including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and the broader security fabric. This includes delivering security architecture, routing, switching, segmentation, wireless, and load balancing—plus optimising Fortinet SD‑WAN. You’ll handle advanced troubleshooting, VPN configuration, system reviews, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance. Accurate documentation and engaging confidently with customers to turn requirements into robust, secure solutions are also key.

Deep Fortinet expertise and proven experience deploying complex FortiGate‑based solutions are essential. You’ll need a strong background in security design, multi‑site deployments, and advanced troubleshooting across firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless. Certifications like NSE4–NSE8 or CCNA/CCNP are a plus, as are dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and exposure to Cisco, Juniper, HP, or Palo Alto. PowerShell or automation skills are a bonus. Above all, bring strong communication skills, customer confidence, and a genuine willingness to learn and collaborate.

The role will suit someone from an MSP background and you must have a couple of years NZ experience. Will accept someone who is interested in relocating from another region of NZ. Moving allowance for successful candidate. Highly respected team and top tier organisation.
