Job summary

FinXL Professional Services is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our consulting team in Sydney. You will design, implement, and hand over critical networking constructs to support large-scale migration phases for a major banking client.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI/APIC, and F5 GTM/LTM, delivering resilient, scalable network solutions onsite in Sydney. Onsite work; visa eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying Cisco ASA and ACI-based networks.
• Enterprise firewall policy deployment and troubleshooting experience.
• Configuring and supporting F5 GTM and LTM appliances.
• Strong capacity planning and performance monitoring understanding.
• CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure networking constructs across Cisco ASA and ACI.
• Translate design specs into firewall configurations and network policies.
• Execute change control, validation, and rollback procedures.
• Monitor post-deployment performance and document handover details.
• Support high availability and disaster recovery requirements with F5 integration.
• Collaborate with security and operations teams on migration phases.

FinXL is seeking a number of Senior Network Engineers to join our consulting team in Sydney. FinXL has several long-term engagements supporting one of our key banking clients on an infrastructure and technology modernisation program. In this key role, you will design, implement, and hand over critical networking constructs to support large-scale migration phases. Please note that these roles are strictly onsite, requiring you to be based in Sydney and hold a valid work visa.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure complex networking constructs across Cisco ASA and ACI.
• Translate high-level design specifications into concrete firewall configurations.
• Execute passive and canary deployments and validate rule sets.
• Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM appliances for traffic distribution.
• Prepare and execute rigorous change control and rollback procedures.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery compliance via F5 integration.
• Monitor post-deployment performance and maintain documentation for handover.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI, and APIC environments.
• Proven track record in enterprise firewall policy deployment and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in configuring and supporting F5 GTM and LTM appliances.
• Solid understanding of network capacity planning and performance monitoring.
• CCNP / CCIE or equivalent industry certifications are highly regarded.
