Job summary

JacksonStone & Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor Ministerial Services for an hourly-rate contract in Wellington. The role runs until 30 June 2027 with an immediate start and a hybrid work arrangement, including two remote days per week.

The successful candidate will manage OIA requests, draft briefings, and support proactive releases while navigating the Machinery of Government landscape. A NZ-based resident with eligibility to work is required.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in a ministerials/OIA function.
• Excellent knowledge of NZ Machinery of Government.
• Strong written communications skills.
• Strong political nous.
• Ability to handle complex, high-pressure requests.
