Senior Manager Retail Analytics - Home Lending & SME

Shape the future of lending decisions at ASB.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity where you’ll shape the future of Home Lending and SME Secured Lending credit strategy at ASB.

Combining deep credit risk expertise, data-driven decision making and stakeholder influence, you’ll drive portfolio performance, optimise lending outcomes and help set the strategic direction for one of ASB's largest lending portfolios.

Leading a team of analytics professionals, you’ll deliver insights that influence business strategy, strengthen credit risk performance and accelerate the bank's investment in data, analytics and cloud-based capabilities, while partnering with senior leaders across the organisation.

You’ll play a key role in helping ASB make smarter, faster and more effective lending decisions by:

• Optimising portfolio performance and credit outcomes across Home Lending and SME Secured Lending portfolios.
• Shaping credit origination and account management strategies through data-driven insights.
• Identifying emerging technologies, automation opportunities and cloud-based capabilities that enhance analytics and decision making.
• Providing clear, actionable insights that support strategic business decisions and Executive reporting.
• Building trusted relationships across Risk, Retail Banking and key business functions.
• Leading and developing a high-performing team, fostering innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience in Credit Risk Management, lending strategy, portfolio analytics or a related risk discipline.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Commercial acumen, strategic thinking and strong analytical capability.
• Experience operating within a regulated environment.
• A passion for innovation and leveraging data to improve business outcomes.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or a related discipline.
