Placements24 is seeking a Senior Lighting Artist for our Queenstown, Eastern Cape studio to shape atmospheric lighting for immersive game worlds. You will craft lighting for environments, characters, and cinematics, and help guide mood and gameplay through color and shadow.

Work hands-on in a team of artists and engineers, optimizing lighting in real-time engines, maintaining style guides, and staying current with industry trends. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Queenstown.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of professional lighting experience in games.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating real-time lighting work.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine and/or Unity.
• Solid understanding of color theory and environmental storytelling through light.

Responsabilidades

• Create high-quality lighting for environments, characters, and cinematics.
• Implement and optimize lighting within the game engine for aesthetics and performance.
• Collaborate with artists and technical staff to ensure lighting integrates with the scene.
• Develop lighting scenarios that enhance mood and guide gameplay.
• Maintain lighting consistency across levels and game elements.
