Job summary

Find Recruitment in Wellington seeks an experienced iOS Developer to join a high-performing delivery team supporting a major banking client. You will work on large-scale, customer-facing mobile applications in a secure, regulated banking environment.

You'll design, develop and maintain iOS features using Swift, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to ensure top-tier performance and security.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience as an iOS Developer or Mobile Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Swift.
• Experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data and Combine.
• Good understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM or VIPER.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with automated testing, including XCTest.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

This is a permanent Wellington-based opportunity where you will contribute to the development of secure, scalable and reliable mobile products within a complex, regulated banking environment.

You will work closely with product, design, engineering and testing teams to build and enhance mobile features, with a strong focus on application quality, performance and security.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with Git, CI/CD and Agile delivery environments
• Experience with automated testing, including XCTest or similar unit/UI testing frameworks
• Strong understanding of application quality, performance and maintainability
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative delivery team

Nice to Have

• Previous experience within banking or financial services
• Experience with Objective-C
• Knowledge of secure mobile development and secure coding practices
