Job summary

Faith Landscape, an Auckland-based landscape construction business, seeks an experienced Internal Auditor to strengthen internal controls and risk management across landscaping, construction and project-based operations.

The role conducts systematic reviews of expenditure, procurement, supplier and subcontractor management, financial administration and asset controls, delivering objective recommendations and monitoring corrective actions to support governance as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Commerce, or Business.
• Relevant professional experience in internal audit, risk assurance, or financial control.
• Knowledge of internal auditing principles, control frameworks and risk management.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial controls.
• Experience reviewing financial records and operational procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey audit findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop a risk-based internal audit programme covering financial, operational and admin activities.
• Review internal control systems for adequacy and effectiveness.
• Audit landscaping and construction projects for budget compliance.
• Assess procurement, supplier and subcontractor controls.
• Review financial processes and controls; ensure proper authorisation and records.
• Prepare internal audit reports and follow-up on corrective actions.
