Job summary

Auckland City FAITH CONSTRUCTION AND CONSULTING LIMITED is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to strengthen internal controls across its landscaping and construction operations in Auckland. The role focuses on risk-based reviews, control evaluation, and improvements to governance and financial processes.

You will assess procurement, project costs, payroll, asset controls, and compliance, delivering clear recommendations and helping the business grow with stronger accountability and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Commerce, Business or closely related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience in internal audit, risk assurance or financial control.
• Strong knowledge of internal auditing principles, control frameworks and risk management.
• Ability to prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop risk-based internal audit programme for financial, operational, and admin activities.
• Identify risks across the business and set audit priorities.
• Prepare audit plans, scopes, testing procedures, and work programmes.
• Review internal controls and segregation of duties.
• Evaluate project expenditure, procurement, and subcontractor payments.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Prepare internal audit reports with findings and management responses.
• Follow up on corrective actions and monitor implementation.
