Job summary

HarperSmith in Auckland is seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join our North Shore team. You will own geotechnical investigations from start to reporting and construction input, while guiding clients and the project team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within engineering geology or geotechnical consulting.
• A relevant Engineering Geology, Geology or Geoscience qualification.
• New Zealand consulting experience
• Experience across residential, commercial, land development and/or infrastructure projects
• Strong investigation, interpretation and technical reporting skills
• The ability to manage your own projects and priorities
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and other project stakeholders
• A practical, solutions-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage geotechnical investigations and siteworks.
• Prepare and review technical reports and interpretations.
• Provide practical geotechnical advice to clients and stakeholders.
• Lead projects from investigation through to delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and develop client relationships.
• Coordinate with developers, architects, engineers and contractors.
