Job summary

Soil & Rock Consultants in Whangarei is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to join our Northland team. You’ll manage your own projects end to end, supported by Senior and Principal Engineers who invest in your technical and professional growth.

You’ll liaise with clients on scope and delivery, plan site investigations, perform geotechnical analyses and prepare clear technical reports while mentoring others as you progress in a collaborative, ISO-certified environment.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline.
• At least 6 years' consultancy experience in geotechnical investigation, analysis, design and reporting.
• Full NZ driver's licence; NZ work rights.
• Experience within the New Zealand construction sector is advantageous.
• Familiar with analysis software (AutoCAD; Slide; QGIS; CPETiT; CLiq and similar).

Responsibilities

• Liaise directly with clients and manage projects from scoping through to delivery.
• Plan and complete site investigations across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.
• Undertake geotechnical analysis and design.
• Prepare clear, concise and accurate technical reports.
• Mentor and be mentored, with senior support on hand.
