Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in Intelligence for NPHS. You will deliver high-quality business analysis to support service delivery and performance reporting, with a focus on developing and enhancing the surveillance ecosystem.

You will translate complex findings into practical insights for senior and executive audiences, identify data quality and reporting improvements, and contribute to reports, briefings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Graduate and postgraduate qualification is required.
• At least five years' experience applying qualitative or quantitative practices.
• Strong business analysis skills including gathering requirements and interpreting complex data.
• Experience developing evidence-based insights and recommendations for senior leaders.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality business analysis to support service delivery and performance reporting in the Surveillance team.
• Coordinate and interpret quantitative and qualitative information, translating findings into practical insights.
• Contribute to reports, briefings and recommendations for senior and executive audiences.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes and analytical practices; provide peer review and quality improvement advice.
