Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Auckland's Finance team is hiring a Data Analyst on a permanent, full-time basis. You will turn health data into actionable information to support decision-making and improve population health.

You will ensure clinical activity is accurately reflected in reporting systems, perform analyses on requests from clinical services, maintain the costing system, and help deliver timely KPI updates and national data submissions.

Qualifications

• A business or IT-related tertiary qualification, or a degree demonstrating numeracy and literacy.
• Experience providing data analysis.
• Intermediate computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and SQL.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinical activity is correctly reflected in reporting systems.
• Perform analysis and provide data upon request from the clinical services.
• Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the clinical costing system.
• Maintain high data quality by investigating discrepancies and variations.
• Support regular reporting deadlines, KPI updates and national data submissions.
