Job summary

Westpac NZ is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to shape our Apple endpoint environment, leading large-scale device management initiatives with Jamf Pro, ABM, and macOS deployment across Apple and Microsoft ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a similar role, within the banking/financial services industry preferred.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing, configuring and managing enterprise Apple environments including Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, ADE, and macOS at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale Apple device management projects and migrations.
• Collaborate across Apple and Microsoft ecosystems to deliver secure endpoints.
• Mentor teammates and drive continuous improvement in endpoint services.

Join the Digital Workplace service group at Westpac as we seek a talented and skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help shape the future of our Apple endpoint environment.

We are looking for an experienced endpoint engineer who has delivered large-scale device management, migration and transformation initiatives, and can operate effectively across both the Apple and Microsoft ecosystems. With a primary focus on Jamf Pro and Apple Business Manager, you will help deliver a secure, scalable and sustainable endpoint management service. You will bring a strong understanding of industry best practices, a continuous improvement mindset, and a pragmatic approach to solving complex technical challenges within a close-knit, high-performing team.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

• 7+ years of proven professional experience in a similar role, within the banking/financial services industry preferred.
• A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comprehensive hands-on experience implementing, configuring and managing enterprise Apple environments, including Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrolment, macOS device management at scale, application packaging and deployment, application lifecycle management, and modern provisioning practices.
• Exposure to Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID would be advantageous.
• Demonstrable understanding and application of information security best practice standards and guidelines.
• Experience managing and maintaining highly available platforms, with the ability to handle multiple requests and prioritise.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and partners to solve complex multi-stakeholder issues.
• Expertise in troubleshooting, solutioning, and resolving service and operational issues, including root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain and present technical concepts clearly, and to share knowledge and mentor colleagues to build capability across the team.
• A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences, supported by strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
