Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities is seeking an experienced Information and Data Governance Lead to strengthen how information and data are governed, managed, and used across the organisation. You will drive governance maturity, embed frameworks, and collaborate with business groups, data owners and technology teams to enable trusted information and better decision making.

The role focuses on embedding governance into programmes and operations, improving data quality, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Experience embedding governance practices, policies and standards.
• Building governance capability through training and practical guidance.
• Strong knowledge of information security, privacy, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working across complex information environments with enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and adoption of governance frameworks, standards and practices.
• Partner with leaders, data owners, stewards, and tech teams to embed governance.
• Drive governance maturity and improve data quality and compliance.
• Support organisational transformation by embedding governance across programmes and solutions.
