Job summary

Mott MacDonald Auckland is looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead the design and delivery of hydraulic services across a diverse portfolio of projects in New Zealand. You will work with clients, architects, contractors and technical specialists to deliver sustainable, high-performing water, drainage and stormwater solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering hydraulic services design within the buildings sector.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand building codes, standards and industry requirements.
• Experience across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial or public sector projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• Chartered status, or progress towards chartership, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leading hydraulic services design from concept through to detailed design and construction support
• Delivering water, sanitary drainage, stormwater and specialist hydraulic systems
• Managing project deliverables and maintaining high technical standards
• Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for future work
• Mentoring and supporting developing engineers
• Collaborating with local and global technical experts across the Mott MacDonald network
• Contributing to the continued growth of our Buildings business in New Zealand
