Job summary

Cookes, a New Zealand based industrial and commercial solutions leader, seeks an experienced HR Business Partner to align business objectives with employees and management. You will work with the Senior Leadership Team to drive HR initiatives, promote diversity and inclusion, and lead talent acquisition across 11 branches.

Reporting to the NZ GM and Belgian Divisional VP HR, you will influence culture, support change management, and partner with leaders to deliver people-first outcomes that

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 5+ years experience as an HR Business Partner.
• Strong understanding of NZ employment law and HR policies.
• Experience developing and implementing HR programs that drive business results.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships with business leaders and employees.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Guide managers and staff on HR policies, employee relations, and procedures.
• Coach and mentor managers on performance, talent management and leadership development.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to align programs with business needs.
• Drive talent acquisition initiatives to attract top talent.
• Analyze HR metrics and develop action plans for improvements.
• Provide guidance on compensation, benefits, and HR policies.
• Support change management by communicating changes and minimizing disruption.
