Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora in Gisborne seeks a Senior Business Performance and Improvement Analyst to partner with clinical and leadership teams. You will provide expert decision support for planning, development, implementation and monitoring of health services to meet population needs and reduce inequities.

You will extract and analyse data to inform service planning, create tools for forecasting and benchmarking, and drive improvement through data-driven insights across the region.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification or 5+ years in Business Analyst role, or equivalent in computer science/IS.
• Understanding of strategic development and planning.
• Understanding of data modelling and accuracy importance.
• Experience in project management.
• Excellent informatics and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret and present financial and business data clearly.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and handling large data sets.
• Understanding of targeted service delivery to reduce inequities for Māori.
