Company Description

"Varied contributions and ideas are valued, understanding that the best outcome is delivered through an effective team that are working towards a common goal" - Dominique Keirens, Sector Manager - Water Infrastructure, South East Queensland

Balancing the world's need for safe, reliable water with protecting this critical natural resource for the future requires a deep understanding of interconnected systems.

We work with clients across the entire project life cycle - from initial planning studies through final construction and operations and maintenance services - on both traditional and alternative project-delivery options (design-build, public-private partnerships and financing).

With a robust design and construction division, AECOM offers a unique perspective on designing projects that are fully constructible.

Everyone belongs at AECOM

We're committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging - because great ideas come from diverse perspectives. AECOM is proud to be a Fortune 500 Most Admired Company, a WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality, # Work180 Equitable Workplace Awards 2025 Winner and an AWEI Bronze Tier LGBTQ+ Inclusive Employer.

Job Description

Reporting to the ANZ Water Managing Director and partnering closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll play a strategic role in driving digital and AI innovation, influencing business decisions, and building the capabilities needed to solve some of the industry's most complex challenges.

This is a unique opportunity to expand your influence beyond individual projects, work alongside leaders locally and globally, and help define how AECOM's Water business evolves, grows and delivers value to clients through applied technologies. • Build trusted client relationships and help shape opportunities that address real business and industry challenges.
  • Lead digital, data, automation and AI initiatives that improve project delivery and client outcomes.
  • Develop and mentor high-performing teams, creating opportunities for growth, leadership and innovation.
  • Strengthen organisational capability through sustainable ways of working, skills development and knowledge sharing.
  • Connect local teams with regional and global expertise, helping drive the adoption of proven digital practices and emerging technologies.

  • Able to navigate complex challenges, exercise sound judgement, and adapt direction to a different approach as required.
  • Strategic and curious mindset, with a focus on turning insights into practical outcomes and business value.
  • Experience balancing long-term capability building with immediate client and operational priorities.

This position can be based from any of our major offices across Australia and New Zealand.

Why you'll love working with us
  • Flexible work arrangements, including alternative start/finish times, job-sharing and hybrid work options
  • Purchase up to 6 weeks additional annual leave per year
  • Volunteer and representation leave
