Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited is seeking an experienced Grocery Operations Manager for PAK’nSAVE Rolleston. You will lead the Grocery department, drive stock availability and maintain high store standards while delivering value to customers.

You will manage a high-volume operation, develop Supervisors and teams, and collaborate with Buyers to keep stock levels optimal. Weekend shifts are part of the regular roster in this senior role.

Qualifications

• Proven supermarket leadership experience.
• Experience leading larger teams.
• Strong understanding of supermarket operations, stock flow and stock availability.
• Confident in managing performance and accountability.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with strong communication across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation and performance of the Grocery department.
• Develop Supervisors and team members and support growth.
• Drive stock availability; ensure shelves are full and presented.
• Oversee stock flow from delivery to shop floor and coord with Buyers.
• Manage productivity, wages and department performance.
• Prioritise workloads and ensure teams work efficiently and safely.
• Set clear expectations and drive performance improvements.
• Maintain food safety, health, safety and operational compliance.
• Provide strong on-floor leadership and respond to customer needs.
