Job summary

CMW Geosciences seeks an established Geotechnical Engineer to deliver practical design solutions and develop strong client relationships in New Zealand. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development within a collaborative team.

To succeed, you should have a Civil Engineering, Geology, or Earth Science degree, 5+ years in consultancy, and NZ working rights. CPEng or eligibility is required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science degree is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in a consultancy.
• CPEng or eligible for CPEng.
• Full New Zealand working rights.
• At least 2 years of NZ experience is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to geotechnical design software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

We are looking for an establishedGeotechnical Engineer who can confidently provide practical design solutions, develop strong client relationships and contribute to furthering technical development in CMW. You must be able to work within a team and provide hands-on mentorship to junior staff.

What We're Looking for

To be successful in this role you must have,

• A Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science Degree
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in a consultancy setting
• Attained CPEng or eligible for CPEng
• Full New Zealandworking rights
• At least two years of experience working in NZis strongly preferred
• Developed exposure to geotechnical design software
• Good interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
