Job summary

DXC Technology in Wellington seeks an experienced Senior Functional Consultant to join our Dynamics 365 CE practice. You will provide senior-level functional support across D365 CE environments, work directly with clients, and translate business requirements into practical Dynamics 365 solutions.

You will configure and optimise D365 CE components, collaborate with developers on integrations, mentor other consultants, and help drive continuous improvement, testing, releases and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE.
• Experience in a support, managed services or live environment.
• Strong functional knowledge across Sales, Customer Service and other D365 CE apps.
• Hands-on configuration of Dynamics 365 (not just requirements gathering).
• Understanding of Dataverse and the Power Platform, especially Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Experience working with developers on integrations and customisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level functional support across Dynamics 365 CE environments.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex functional issues across D365 CE.
• Work directly with clients to understand issues, provide advice and communicate solutions clearly.
• Configure and enhance D365 CE, including tables/entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows and security.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into practical Dynamics 365 solutions.
• Work closely with technical consultants and developers on integrations and customisations.
• Manage support requests through to resolution, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, optimisation and automation within existing D365 environments.
• Support testing, releases, documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other consultants where required.
• Contribute to solution design and broader client engagements when opportunities arise.

Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM.
• Experience working in a support, managed services or live environment.
• Strong functional knowledge across areas such as Sales, Customer Service and/or other D365 CE applications.
• Experience configuring Dynamics 365 rather than purely gathering requirements or managing delivery.
• Good understanding of Dataverse and the Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Experience working alongside developers and technical teams on integrations and customisations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues simply.
• Experience producing functional documentation and working through testing and release processes.
• The confidence to operate at a senior level and act as a trusted advisor to customers
