Job summary

Levno in Auckland is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our local team and help shape the future of our platform. You will work across the full stack, design scalable solutions and influence architectural direction.

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you’ll collaborate with Product, Design and QA to deliver robust software, mentor peers, and continuously improve performance, security and reliability across cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end-to-end web applications with scalable, well-tested code across the stack.
• Develop APIs, services and data schemas (SQL/NoSQL) and integrations with external systems.
• Improve performance, reliability and security of applications.
• Lead architectural discussions and contribute to long-term tech strategy.
• Mentor junior and intermediate developers and raise team capability.

Job description

At Levno, we’re building technology that helps our customers make better decisions, save time and run more connected businesses. As we grow, we’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Auckland-based team and help shape the future of our platform.

You’ll report to our Engineering Lead and work across the full stack to design, build and maintain software that is scalable, secure and reliable. You’ll have a real say in technical decisions and architectural direction, and you’ll work closely with Product, Design and QA to turn customer and business needs into solutions that work well. If you like pragmatic decisions, technically challenging problems and helping other engineers grow, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, building and maintaining end-to-end web applications, writing clean, scalable and well-tested code across the stack
• Developing APIs, services and integrations with external systems, and designing efficient database schemas and queries (SQL and NoSQL)
• Improving application performance, reliability and security
• Leading architectural discussions, reviewing code and contributing to our long-term technical strategy
• Mentoring junior and intermediate developers and helping lift capability across the team
• Investigating and resolving complex issues across the stack, and finding better tools, processes and ways of working
• Contributing to CI/CD and automation, deploying to the cloud, and setting up monitoring, logging and alerting

What you’ll bring

• Advanced front end and back end skills, with experience building and maintaining complex distributed systems
• The ability to design scalable, secure and efficient application architecture
• Experience deploying, monitoring and optimising applications in a cloud environment such as Azure, AWS or GCP, ideally with hands‑on CI/CD and infrastructure tooling
• A strong grasp of data modelling, database performance, API design and integration patterns
• A commitment to robust, maintainable code backed by automated testing
• A knack for diagnosing tricky problems, finding the root cause and fixing it properly
• Experience mentoring other engineers, and good judgement under pressure
