Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Limited, Auckland, is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will provide strategic financial advice, commercial insight and decision support to senior leaders across the business.

You’ll partner across planning, forecasting, modelling and performance analysis, helping stakeholders understand risks and opportunities and make well-informed commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• CAANZ, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.
• Experience partnering with, influencing and challenging senior stakeholders.
• Ability to turn complex financial information into clear insights.
• Advanced Excel, with exposure to data visualisation tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior business leaders and Finance stakeholders to provide strategic financial advice and insights.
• Lead planning, budgeting and forecasting activities across your portfolio.
• Deliver meaningful analysis of business performance, trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support commercial decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and optimise costs.
• Provide clear reporting, insights and recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate across Finance, Product, Treasury, Strategy and Technology.
• Support strong financial governance, controls and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting and systems.
• Share your expertise and help build capability across the wider team.
