Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Farm Manager for a large-scale commercial farming operation in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role covers all farming activities from planting and crop care to harvesting and post-harvest handling, with a focus on efficiency and profitability.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field, at least 6 years of farm management experience, and strong leadership, IPM knowledge, and proficiency with farm management software.

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field required.
• Minimum of 6 years' proven farm management experience with crop production focus.
• Strong knowledge of crop physiology, soil science and IPM.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage diverse tasks.
• Proficient with farm management software and financial planning tools.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement annual farming plans including crop rotation and resource allocation.
• Oversee crop production, land prep, irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease control.
• Manage and supervise farm staff, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor crop performance, yields, quality, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Manage farm equipment and maintenance for efficiency.
• Control budgets, expenses and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
