Job summary

Nurse Maude in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our OSCE programme as a Senior Clinical Examiner. This 12-month fixed-term, 1.0 FTE role leads examiner performance, calibrates marking, and safeguards assessment integrity within a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current APC and at least 5 years’ clinical experience in New Zealand.
• Strong clinical judgement and confidence applying structured assessment criteria.
• Experience in simulation-based learning design is desirable.
• Experience in education, assessment, supervision, or clinical leadership (highly desirable).
• Ability to remain objective, consistent, and calm under pressure.
• Confidence working with ambiguity, borderline performance, and time-critical decisions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and support others.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equitable practice.
• Comfortable working in a structured, technology-supported assessment environment.

Nurse Maude delivers Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) on behalf of the Nursing Council of New Zealand. We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join us as Senior Clinical Examiners within our high-stakes, structured assessment environment.

This is a key leadership role within the OSCE programme, responsible not only for assessing candidate performance, but also for ensuring examiner consistency, supporting calibration, and safeguarding the integrity of the assessment process.
