Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Auckland is seeking an Estimator / Senior Estimator to deliver accurate cost estimates for major water infrastructure across New Zealand, including treatment plants, pump stations and pipelines.

You will develop first-principles estimates, build estimating models, validate quantities and pricing, and present findings to stakeholders, drawing on 5–10+ years in water utilities and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of industry experience in water utilities or related sectors.
• Strong electrical estimating knowledge including LV/HV cabling, switchgear, transformers, SCADA, VSDs.

Responsibilities

• Develop first-principles cost estimates for water infrastructure projects.
• Quantify from design information and collaborate with engineers for precision.
• Build and maintain estimating models for complex water projects.
• Validate quantities and pricing from suppliers and contractors.
• Prepare clear reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Deliver integrated estimating services throughout the project lifecycle.
