Job summary

Tiaki Wai Limited, based in Petone, Wellington, is seeking a senior engineer to lead 3-waters network investigations across the region. You will drive strategic planning, mentor graduates and apply your technical expertise from concept through commissioning.

This full-time, hybrid role offers strong collaboration, opportunities to influence investment planning and the capital program, and a culture focused on safety, wellbeing and delivering reliable water services to communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent is required or highly preferred.
• CPEng is highly desirable for the role.
• Strong technical knowledge in wastewater, stormwater and/or drinking water networks.
• Sharp investigative skills with a solutions focus.
• Excellent relationship management and communications skills.

• Provide technical support from concept to commissioning

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, based in our Petone office near the train station, cafes and the beach

The remuneration midpoint for this role is $131,903.99 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an additional senior engineer! This role is suited to a technical professional with experience in 3-waters networks. It offers an opportunity to make a difference through optimising 3-waters systems across the Wellington Region. You will take the lead on strategic planning and delivering network investigations that will ultimately lead to improved reliability of 3-waters infrastructure for the community.

With a strong emphasis on collaboration this role will also see you:

• Involved in tactical planning across the region's 3-waters networks
• Mentor and develop graduate and intermediate engineers
• Provide technical support for the capital program and investment planning.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering). CPEng highly desired
• Strong technical knowledge in wastewater, stormwater and/or drinking water networks
• Sharp investigative skills with a solutions focus
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
