Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a seasoned District Emergency Management professional to support service delivery, plan and implement emergency management systems, and drive district-level engagement strategies.

You will monitor progress, report outcomes, provide technical advice, coordinate across regional programmes, and support the District Leadership Team in meeting legislative and governance obligations.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational environment within a large, complex organisation.
• Knowledge of CIMS or ability to obtain within six months.
• Understanding of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002 and CDEM Plan Order 2015.

Responsibilities

• Support District Emergency Management service delivery and planning.
• Develop and implement emergency management systems and engagement strategies at district level.
• Monitor progress, report outcomes, and ensure objectives are achieved.
• Provide technical advice across regional and district work programmes and projects.
• Support the District Leadership Team on governance obligations.
