Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a seasoned professional to support District Emergency Management service delivery and contribute to effective response functions. You will work with the District Lead to develop, plan, and implement emergency management systems and engagement strategies at a district level, monitoring progress and ensuring objectives are met.

The role requires extensive operational experience within a large organisation, strong stakeholder relationships, and knowledge

Qualifications

Typically five or more years in an operational environment within a large organisation.
Strong coordination and service delivery experience during routine operations and response situations.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with district-level stakeholders and collaborate across agencies.
Familiarity with Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002 and related planning requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Support District Emergency Management service delivery and contribute to effective response functions.
Assist in developing, planning, and implementing emergency management systems and engagement strategies at district level.
Provide guidance on emergency management requirements and support governance obligations across the district.
