Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced emergency management professional to support district-level service delivery and contribute to planning, development and implementation of emergency management systems and engagement strategies. This role works closely with the District Lead to coordinate activities and drive outcomes across districts.

Qualifications

  • You have multiple years' experience in an operational environment within a large, complex organisation.
  • You have practical knowledge of emergency management and/or operational service delivery.
  • You understand effective coordination and service delivery in routine and response situations.
  • You can develop and maintain relationships with district-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support District Emergency Management service delivery and contribute to effective response functions.
  • Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of emergency management systems and engagement strategies at district level.
  • Monitor progress, report outcomes and ensure agreed objectives are achieved.
  • Provide technical advice and practical support across regional and district work programmes, responses and projects.
  • Ensure emergency management activities are well coordinated, compliant, and fit for purpose.
  • Represent legislative, assurance, and governance obligations across the district.
