Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team in New Zealand seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical services on diverse building projects, including data centres and healthcare facilities.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with other disciplines, maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to business development while ensuring designs meet NZ codes and standards.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering (BE or equivalent).
• 7+ years' experience in electrical building services design.
• Experience in Data Centre's and Healthcare facilities.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects on time and on budget.
• Strong understanding of NZ building codes and electrical standards.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and documentation tools (AGI, Power CAD).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A proactive mindset and a passion for mentoring and team leadership.
• A commitment to quality, safety, and continual professional development.

Specialising in mission-critical facilities such as data centres and healthcare, our team of 100 brings expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, fire, electrical and sustainability engineering to local projects. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our experienced team. This is a key opportunity for an experienced engineer to take on a role delivering technically excellent and innovative electrical solutions across a diverse range of building projects.

You'll work in a collaborative environment where your technical expertise and leadership will contribute to the continued growth and success of our electrical engineering services.
