Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior or Associate Earthing Engineer in New Zealand to join our innovative consultancy and lead complex earthing studies for critical infrastructure. You will work with a highly skilled team across ANZ and globally, delivering technically sound solutions while mentoring junior engineers.

The role involves site inspections, field testing, and collaboration with Project Managers to ensure quality and commercial success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering earthing studies across substations, transmission, rail, water, mining, airports, and industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with CDEGS and PSCAD.
• Strong report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver earthing studies and design across projects.
• Lead technical deliverables and check quality.
• Support bids and business development with clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with global delivery teams.
• Undertake site inspections and testing, including soil resistivity and EMF measurements.
