Senior DevOps Engineer: Cloud Automation & CI/CD

Job summary

Vontier is seeking a DevOps Engineer to develop, deploy, automate and manage cloud infrastructure, pipelines and release management across multiple environments.

You will own automated build/test/deploy systems, coordinate changes, respond to alerts and drive cost-saving cloud initiatives while mentoring teammates and ensuring security controls and PCI-related compliance where applicable.

Qualifications

• 7+ years system administration experience.
• Relevant engineering or CS qualification.
• Experience with AWS services (EB, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, Route53, RDS).
• Experience with monitoring tools (NewRelic, AlertSite, Sumo Logic, CloudWatch, DataDog, Pingdom, Splunk, Zabbix).
• Experience with CD tools: SaltStack, Ansible, GoCD, CodeShip, Elastic Beanstalk.
• Other tools: Vagrant, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, CloudFormation.
• Embedded C/C++, Yocto, Buildroot; GCC toolchain, cmake, makefiles, bash/python scripting.
• SDLC understanding; strong documentation; time management; DevOps exposure.
• No travel restrictions; payments industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud-based operations, build, configuration and deployment.
• Oversee availability of cloud infra to SLAs for internal and external customers.
• Maintain build/test/deploy scripts and automation; respond to live requests.
• Coordinate changes through change review processes and provide downtime updates.
• Lead CI/CD initiatives and mentor team members.
