Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy sophisticated machine learning models for predictive maintenance, production optimization, and risk assessment.
• Analyze large and complex datasets using advanced statistical techniques and programming languages (Python, R).
• Design and implement A/B testing frameworks and experiments to validate hypotheses.
• Build data pipelines and automate data processing workflows.
• Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with domain experts (engineers, geoscientists) to understand business needs and translate them into data science solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and ethical use of data.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on applying machine learning and statistical modeling in a relevant industry.
• Proficiency in Python or R, including relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of various machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning).
• Experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
