About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and validate predictive models and analytical solutions for large-scale biological and clinical datasets.
- Design and execute statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, and experimental design for research projects.
- Extract, clean, and transform complex data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Collaborate with biologists, chemists, and clinicians to translate research questions into data science problems and interpret results.
- Visualize data and model outputs effectively for presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and relevant life science domains.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on the life sciences sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and machine learning libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment from Queenstown or elsewhere.
