Job summary

PwC NZ is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Data team in Wellington or Auckland. You will blend data engineering with stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable, cloud-based data platforms that enable trusted analytics and real business value.

You will design and implement modern data solutions using Azure, Fabric, Databricks and Snowflake, develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and contribute across the full project lifecycle from discovery to deployment and optimisation.

Qualifications

3+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Analytics delivering data-driven solutions.
Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate business needs into practical technology and data outcomes.
Experience with cloud data platforms and transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with governance and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Design, build and deploy data platforms and pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Databricks and Snowflake.
Develop ETL/ELT processes transforming data from multiple sources into trusted datasets.
Build SQL, Python and Spark solutions for analysis, automation and performance.
Apply CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code to deployments.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact transformation outcomes.
Support data governance and metadata management initiatives.
Engage with stakeholders to translate data insights into practical business outcomes.
