Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a Senior Data Lead - Analytics Automation to join its Data team, reporting to the Head of Analytics. The role focuses on leveraging data to tackle complex city challenges and significantly impact Auckland's development and operations.

You will drive patterns and standardised analytics practices, build reusable data assets, and guide the migration of enterprise data to a Modern Data Platform while shaping analytics and AI strategy for the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the implementation of a new platform/technology in a modern data tech stack.
• Design and implementation of scalable processes to deliver analytics at pace.
• Leading uplift of organisational maturity in data literacy and capability.

Responsibilities

• Development of patterns and standardised ways of working for analytics teams.
• Development of reusable data assets to accelerate delivery of analytics.
• Migration of critical enterprise reporting and data assets to a new Modern Data Platform.
• Analytics and artificial intelligence strategy development.
