Job summary

Xero is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the G&A Data & Analytics team. You will build data products, pipelines and a governed semantic layer in Snowflake, translating business concepts into metrics, dimensions and definitions to enable trusted data for decision making across Finance, PX and Legal.

You will collaborate across Finance, Legal and People teams to translate questions into robust data products, mentor teammates and help shape AI-enabled capabilities that give people conversational

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building SQL data models and using dbt for testing and documentation.
• Ability to validate outputs and stand behind the numbers.
• Curiosity about applying AI to make data more accessible and usable.
• Collaborative work with Finance, Legal and People teams to translate questions into data products.
• Experience mentoring teammates and setting data engineering standards.

Responsibilities
