Placements24 is seeking a Legal Advisor to oversee Corporate Compliance for a growing manufacturing client in Queenstown (Eastern Cape). You will develop and implement robust compliance programs and advise senior management on regulatory strategies.

The ideal candidate has an LLB with at least five years in corporate law or compliance, strong knowledge of SA regulatory frameworks, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifikationen

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
• Minimum 5 years in corporate law, compliance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of SA corporate and commercial law.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Aufgaben

• Develop, implement, and manage the company’s corporate compliance program.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable South African laws and industry-specific regulations.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Draft, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Advise management on legal and compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
• Manage regulatory reporting requirements and liaise with relevant authorities.
• Oversee the company’s response to regulatory inquiries and investigations.
• Develop and deliver compliance training to employees at all levels.
• Assist in legal reviews of commercial contracts and other business agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and documentation.
