Job summary

Walker Smith is seeking a consultant to lead information-management engagements in Wellington, NZ. You’ll steer complexity, gather perspectives, and deliver actionable recommendations that clients can act on, shaping the engagement rather than just capturing requirements.

You’ll work with senior stakeholders, manage design threads, and coordinate with vendors to ensure the final deliverable meets client needs and positions you for broader leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, particularly SharePoint, OneDrive, and Purview.
• Experience shapingSharePoint site designs, information structures, taxonomies and permission models.
• Confidence leading discovery, facilitating workshops and advising senior stakeholders.
• Ability to challenge assumptions, navigate competing views and bring structure to ambiguity.
• Clear, credible communication and the ability to turn complex information into recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead live projects from day one with senior stakeholders, shaping engagement and delivering actionable responses.
• Collaborate with specialist vendors during the build while maintaining the design thread.
• Ensure outcomes meet client needs, and progress decisions to move the engagement forward.
• Progress to lead key workstreams and grow trusted accounts, with potential broader commercial responsibility.
