Job summary

Asahi Beverages in Auckland seeks a senior Commercial Planning lead to turn category strategies into aligned actions that drive share and profitability. You will report to Head of Commercial Planning & RGM and manage one direct report, coordinating with Sales, Marketing, Category, Finance, Demand Planning and Supply Chain.

You will own the planning rhythm across RTDs, Spirits & Non-Alcohol portfolios, challenge teams, translate pricing and activation decisions into measurable outcomes, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ commercial experience in FMCG or a consumer business.
• Background in senior account management, marketing or category management.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L, forecasting and causal impacts.
• Confident negotiator and storyteller with strong stakeholder influence.
• Comfortable working with assumptions, ambiguity and incomplete data.

Responsibilities

• Lead category planning and performance governance across IBP forums.
• Translate product, pricing, promotion and activation plans into outcomes.
• Track forecasts, risks and opportunities, recommending practical actions.
• Align cross‑functional teams and present clear recommendations to leaders.
• Coach and develop one direct report while building planning capability.
