Job summary

6am Recruitment is seeking a senior CNC programmer for a Wellington-based role. You will lead the design of toolpaths, coordinate with clients, and drive production from concept to finish.

Your CAD design expertise will be central as you translate requirements into manufacturable plans. The ideal candidate brings senior CNC programming experience, strong CAD capabilities, and a proven ability to train others on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience with wood, polystyrene, and plastic materials, plus some metal work.
• Ability to translate client meetings into designs and toolpaths.
• Experience training other team members.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop toolpaths for CNC projects from client briefing to production.
• Set up machines and run programs, checking quality along the way.
• Mentor and train junior machinists or operators.
