Job summary

ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading civil contractor on a major bridge and civil infrastructure project in Ashburton, NZ. You will help coordinate day-to-day site activities and support roading, culvert, earthworks and bridge works.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 6+ years of postgraduate experience, with strong communication and organisation skills. A permanent or contract arrangement is available, with long-term career development

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6+ years postgraduate experience.
• Experience in general civils and roading.
• Experience with culverts and/or structures is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and site coordination.
• Experience with subcontractor management, QA, planning, and project documentation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a regional project environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a major bridge and civil infrastructure project.
• Coordinate day-to-day site activities and construction works.
• Assist with the delivery of roading, culvert, earthworks, and bridge structure works.
• Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and productivity.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, programs, and schedules.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with engineering, quality, and safety requirements.
