Archway Recruitment in Christchurch is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the in-house civil capability, delivering design across subdivisions, rural developments, multi-unit projects, and 3 waters infrastructure.

This hands-on role combines technical leadership with shaping the future direction of the civil function within a growing business, working closely with surveying team and clients to maintain strong relationships and project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years’ civil engineering experience, ideally within the Christchurch/NZ market.
• Strong land development civil design capability across land development and three waters related projects.
• Confident working both independently and within a small team environment.
• Client-facing with strong communication skills.
• Motivated by the opportunity to build and grow a function within a business.

Responsabilités

• Deliver civil design across subdivisions, rural developments, multi-unit projects, and 3 waters infrastructure.
• Set up and manage civil engineering systems, templates, and modelling processes.
• Work closely with an established surveying team and support project delivery.
• Engage directly with clients and contribute to maintaining strong relationships.
