Job summary

AllRecruits Ltd is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join a well-established Christchurch consultancy delivering land development and infrastructure projects. You will lead civil design, oversee construction observation, and coordinate with clients, surveyors, and authorities to deliver quality outcomes.

With a minimum of five years' experience and strong design capabilities in 12d Model or Civil3D, you will manage projects, ensure compliance with NZ standards, and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years' civil engineering experience, preferably land development.
• Three waters experience is an advantage (stormwater).
• CPEng status or progress towards chartership.
• Proven land development and infrastructure project experience.
• Strong civil design capabilities with 12d/Civil3D proficiency.
• Ability to manage projects and interact with clients with minimal supervision.
• Site-based experience and understanding of construction methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of land development and infrastructure projects.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, and client expectations.
• Undertake civil engineering design and technical documentation.
• Provide construction observation and contract administration.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and councils.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and council requirements.
• Support all areas of work needed to get the job done.
