Job summary

AllRecruits is seeking a Civil Design Engineer in Christchurch to deliver land development projects from design through to construction delivery. You will collaborate with Senior Engineers, Project Leads, and the Construction Team to provide high‑quality engineering solutions and ensure compliance across design, documentation, and consents.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering or NZCE required.
Land development and subdivision design experience.
5-7 years civil engineering industry experience.
Strong 12D, Civil3D, BricsCAD skills/experience.
Demonstrated competency using MS Project, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Prepare engineering schedules, contract documentation, resource consent applications, and related project documentation.
Support the delivery of civil engineering projects by ensuring contract administration activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
Attend and facilitate project progress meetings with contractors, consultants, clients, and stakeholders.
Prepare and submit Section 224(c) certification documentation and compliance submissions to local authorities.
Coordinate resource consent processes and manage council interfaces as required.
Prepare and submit building consent applications and compliance documentation.
Monitor project programmes and assist in achieving project milestones, budgets, and quality objectives.
Undertake civil engineering design and prepare drawings.
Deliver technically sound designs that meet project requirements, timeframes, and budgets.
Assist in planning and coordinating project implementation activities.
