Job summary

Younity in Christchurch, NZ is seeking a Senior Carpenter – Plans Framing Formwork Expert to join our on-site team on full-time, permanent basis. The role covers finishing carpentry, timber framing, and installing doors and windows on various site projects.

You will measure and cut to exact specs, assist with framing and skirtings, and follow Foreman instructions. A NZ residency or valid work visa is required for ongoing projects around Christchurch.

Qualifications

• NZ building code knowledge is required.
• Finishing carpentry experience is essential.
• Office/retail fit-out or residential framing background preferred.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Finish and detail finishing work.

Christchurch, New Zealand (Full time, Permanent)

• Salary: $30 – $34 per hour wages, or contractor rates available, dependent on experience.
• Full set of carpentry tools needed.
• Understanding of the NZ building code.
• Finishing carpentry experience a must.
• Office and retail fit‑out experience required or a residential background.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug test.

Key responsibilities:
