Job summary

Waikato Hospital, a leading tertiary hospital in Hamilton, seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms and assist with TOE studies. You will support dynamic inpatient and outpatient services, including ED, ICU and operating theatres, and contribute to satellite clinics across the region.

Registered NZ MRTB and current practice certificate are required. A diverse, growth-focused team awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be registered as a sonographer with the NZ MRTB and hold a current practising certificate.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Be able to perform and report echocardiography and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Assist with transoesophageal studies and echo-guided procedures.
• Support inpatient and outpatient services including ED, ICU, and operating theatres.
• Participate in satellite echocardiography clinics.
• Be part of the on-call after hours service.
• Complete preliminary reports with Cardiology/Echo system.
