Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking Cardiac Sonographers to join dedicated cardiac teams across New Zealand. You will perform transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echocardiography while delivering high-quality diagnostic care within a supportive team.

The role offers opportunities to develop advanced practice, access to modern imaging systems, and a clear pathway for professional growth within Health NZ.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with MRTB under the Cardiac Sonography scope.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) required.
• Recognised qualification in cardiac ultrasound (e.g. DMU, PGDip Echo, MSc Echo or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echocardiography services.
• Work within cardiology teams to deliver safe, timely diagnostic care.
• Rotate across inpatient and outpatient settings and participate in professional development.
